Doujinshi Addict / the archives.

Update 2014: I'm updating this blog mostly for better quality pictures. I'm still a huge fan of these Peacemaker Doujinshi and I will from time to time drop in to have my little say about them. I won't be updating the text, I might have made grammar mistakes or what have you, but I like the innocence of my youth. Hah, Innocence, I was reviewing BL doujinshi's. 

I've once our twice mentioned I've been reading doujinshi.

First for those who don't know what a doujinshi is. A Doujinshi is like a fan manga with characters from an original manga, but with a fan story usually a love story.
Some doujinshi are just porn (sorry), but others are well drawn and have a cute little love story.
Doujinshika is a real profession in Japan and there are quite a few mangaka who started as a doujinshika. For example the mangaka of Peace Maker Kurogane; Nanae Chrono. Nanae Chrono used to be a doujinshika and drew quite some naruto doujinshi. Also Clamp, yes well known Clamp started out as a doujinshi circle called Clamp Clusters. I could give you a list of mangaka who have been or are still active as doujinshika.

However that's not what I'm going to tell you about. For example I usually read shounen. Since shounen is meant for boys. There is just not a single drop of love to be found. Boo!
Of course I don't want the whole manga to be about love, otherwise I'd read shoujo but I do like a little romance from time to time and that's where the doujinshi come in.

I own about 5 doujinshi, actually I'm a real slack.. so I read most of the doujinshi online.
But I'm proud to own some Bliss doujinshi. My favorite series is still Peace Maker Kurogane.

I really love bliss's drawing style, it's hard to see just on the covers but it's a gentle and subtle style. Her doujinshi tell varied love stories often containing a serious story and a funny one. Though I cannot read kanji and my japanese is very limited I always enjoy watching and trying to read bliss's doujinshi.

Bliss also makes Hetalia doujinshi but I'm not a Hetalia fan at all, just not fond of the characters. However Bliss her stories always makes me smile. (even the Hetalia ones).

So hopefully you now know why I'm such a doujinshi addict.
