Rurouni Kenshin (2012)

Every year I go to a film festival in April and this year I saw the live action of Kenshin, I didn't have many expectation, but it was fun and action-packed in the right way. Satō Takeru who plays Kenshin Himura did a good job he was both impressive and cute. I might be a little biased because I find him completely handsome and his smile is adorable.

This is the poster of the movie.
A little summary: "In 1868, after the end of the Bakumatsu war, the former assassin Kenshin Himura promises to defend those in need without killing. When Kenshin helps the sweet Kaoru Kamiya from a group of gangsters she invites him to stay. Saitō Hajime and his fellow policemen investigate the murder of an undercover cop supposedly by the hands of the Battōsai. But Saitō is not convinced and suspects Takeda Kanryū, a wealthy, but cruel businessman. Who was also responsible for the earlier attack on Kaoru's school."

Saito, Hajime

I read Kenshin before I ever read Peacemaker Kurogane and this dreamboat was my first introduction to the Shinsengumi. It took me forever to understand what the whole historic event was about, so it was gratifying to feel the circle close.

Here we have our Hero, Kenshin.
