When I was in France I was quite obsessed with the Shinsengumi again, for one that was the tme I ordered the Japanese manga of PMK that I can't read but hey. Now it's time to get back to my normal life so I haven't got a much time as I did before but I do feel like spending some of it drooling over volks shinsengumi BJD's. Because god do I love them. I'm not sure if I'm just being brand conscious when I say I love all the volks Shinsengumi dolls or if they are just lovely. 

I for one own an Okita SD13 boy and he's my prized  possession, because I love his dramatic face.  

So here he is: my boy. The face-up is done by me and forgive me this is like only the second faceup I've ever done.

 These are all the Shinsengumi dolls volks released. The first are Hijikata and Kondo.

underneath them is Saitou and Okita (the SD Graffiti Hometown Dolpa kyoto 7 one)

 Okita SD13 (the head I also own), Toudou Heisuke (a one off), Kondo and Okita again.

Those are the Shinsengumi family crests, I really like that I can recognize the members by remembering these, no matter what design the characters have.
I could say more about this since I recently bought a Shinsengumi dating game, with which most of you will be familiar. (hakuouki shinsengumi kitan). 

For the coming years I really hope Nagakura Shinpachi and Harada will get their own BJD versions. I've always been a bit of a Nagakura fan, so I'd love to see what he would look like in the imagination of the VOLKS designers.
